Trouble’s troubles began in early January when he was viciously stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute. However, even if he finds a temporary residence, the shelter remains financially responsible for all his care costs, which have already escalated into the thousands. “I was heartbroken for him, especially during his hospitalization,” says Juliana Ward, a staff member at the SPCA. “He’s definitely not trouble, despite his name! He’s incredibly cuddly and mellow.”
