Meet Today’s Dog of the Day: Beau and Bear
A Playful Spirit: Beau
Today’s first Dog of the Day is Beau, a delightfully goofy Australian shepherd, brought to our attention by Drew Flowers from Telehealth. With an exuberant personality, Beau embodies the spirit of adventure and fun that many dog lovers cherish. He’s always up for a game, whether it’s chasing after a ball or engaging mischievously with his surroundings. Drew describes Beau as a “100% certified goofy and fun” companion who can light up any room with his boundless energy.
However, like many dogs, Beau has his quirks. He has a particular aversion to vacuum cleaners and the occasional delivery person. It’s not uncommon for dogs to exhibit protective or startled behavior toward unexpected visitors—it’s all part of a dog’s personality! Yet, despite these minor inconveniences, Beau remains a faithful companion who fills his owner’s life with joy and laughter.

A Heartwarming Story: Bear
Our second Dog of the Day, Bear, captured the hearts of many, thanks to his inspiring backstory. Submitted by Emily Robinson from the Pediatric department, Bear is a Great Pyrenees who is currently enjoying his first few months of life with lively exuberance at just six months old. Bear’s entrance into the world wasn’t easy; he was found wandering the streets at a mere five weeks old, suffering from ticks and fleas.
Emily and her family didn’t shy away from the challenge; they took Bear in, caring for him diligently until he was back to full health. Today, Bear is a sweet boy who craves human interaction and affection, showcasing a warm demeanor that makes him a favorite among kids and adults alike. What’s charming about Bear is his endearing belief that he’s a “small dog.” His antics often find him squeezing himself into the tiniest of spaces, a reminder to us that love knows no size.
Bear also shares his home with his “little but big brother,” Moose, a Poodle/Shih Tzu mix. This unique family dynamic exemplifies the heartwarming bond that pets can create, bringing joy and companionship to each other in ways that are both fun and uplifting.
