Tyler Welcomes New Executive Director at Pets Fur People
In a significant development for animal welfare in East Texas, Pets Fur People has recently appointed Kat Cortelyou as its new executive director. Cortelyou brings a wealth of experience to the position, having dedicated eight years at the helm of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of East Texas. Her journey in animal services also includes a pivotal role as the animal services manager in Athens, where she honed her skills in both nonprofit and municipal environments.

Cortelyou’s unique background offers a comprehensive viewpoint on animal services, combining her insights from the nonprofit sector and the challenges of municipal operations.
