Boys 5/6 Soccer: A Fun Scrimmage Experience
Despite the holiday weekend pause, the Boys 5/6 Soccer team remained active on the field. They participated in a scrimmage during halftime of a Tuesday high school soccer match, showcasing their budding soccer skills in a lively atmosphere. The next competitive outing for this spirited squad is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, at Hull High School, where they will face off against Marshfield at 2 p.m.
Boys Varsity Soccer: A Night to Remember
On Tuesday, October 14, Hull High’s Boys Varsity Soccer team celebrated Senior Night. The Pirates played a tough match against Carver, resulting in a hard-fought tie, 0-0. This event honored seniors Matt Thomas, Max Lofgren, Teddy Hipp, Thomas Brasil, and student-manager Chris Resnick for their contributions to the team. Looking ahead, the Pirates will be in action again on Monday, October 20, at home against Mashpee at 5:30 p.m., followed by a road match in Holbrook on Thursday, October 23, at 3:30 p.m.
Hull Youth Soccer: In-Town Season Resumes
After a brief holiday break, Hull Youth Soccer’s in-town season is set to resume on October 18. Games will continue to take place every Saturday at the Dust Bowl field in Hull Village, providing a consistent schedule for families. The weekly lineup features Guppies (coed) from 9-10 a.m., Kindergarten (coed) and Girls Grades 1 & 2 from 10-11 a.m., followed by Boys Grades 1 & 2 from 11 a.m. to noon. This regularity encourages family participation and comes as a joyous reason to spend weekends outdoors.
Girls Varsity Soccer: Dominating on the Field
The Hull High girls varsity soccer team had a remarkable victory over Carver on October 14, winning 7-0 and improving their overall record to 5-4-2. Their momentum continues as they prepare for their next game against Mashpee on the road on Monday at 4 p.m., before returning home to host Southeast Regional Vocational-Technical High School on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Notably, the team will celebrate EM20 Night on October 24 against Pembroke, a fundraiser for the Emma Ryan Memorial Fund, with the Junior Varsity (JV) playing at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, Senior Night will be celebrated on October 27 against Abington, honoring the commitments of players such as Montana Alibrandi, Emily Irby, Hannah Pearson, Abby Jeffries-Ranger, and student manager Sofia Provost.
Hull Youth Football: Game Day Excitement
Hull Youth Football is gearing up for another exciting Sunday on October 19, with a home game against Lower Cape. The lineup for the day includes Mites (C Squad) at 10 a.m., Midgets (A Squad) at 11:30 a.m., and PeeWees (B Squad) at 1 p.m. The Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club will host a breakfast for players, cheerleaders, and their families, with schedules aligned to enhance the game day experience—C Squad from 8-8:45 a.m., A Squad from 9:30-10:15 a.m., and B Squad from 10:45-11:30 a.m.
Hull Pirates Youth Basketball: Registration Open
The Hull Pirates Youth Basketball program is currently accepting registrations for its travel program aimed at boys and girls in grades 3-8. The season kicks off in late November, with registration closing on October 31.
