First up is Perkins, a spirited toy poodle rescue who has quickly impressed all around him. Submitted by Erin Collar of the Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction, and Survivorship (CIBS) Center, Perkins is a testament to the fact that small dogs can have just as much zest for life as their larger counterparts.
As stated by Erin, “Perkins is often underestimated because of his size, but he has just as much energy and endurance as many larger dogs.” This little bundle of joy doesn’t let his petite frame hold him back. He is often seen enjoying stimulating activities, particularly hiking. In fact, a favorite spot of his is the scenic trails of Red Rocks in Colorado, where he can explore and bask in the great outdoors.
Junebug: The Joyful Bernese Mountain Dog
Next, we have Junebug, a year-old Bernese Mountain Dog that radiates positivity. Elizabeth Fox from the Maternal Fetal Medicine department submitted her adorable photo, highlighting Junebug’s infectious energy. “She is always smiling, always with a toy, and always love bombing her family,” says Elizabeth, emphasizing Junebug’s playful and affectionate nature.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for their large size and gentle temperament, and Junebug is no exception. Her playful demeanor and love for her family make her a cherished companion, displaying the robust love that dogs are known for. Whether she’s frolicking in the yard with her favorite toy or providing comfort during quiet moments, Junebug embodies the spirit of unconditional love.
