Today’s Cat of the Day: Meet Tiger
In the delightful world of pets, few bring as much joy as a cat. Today, we spotlight Tiger, a charming feline submitted by Roger Bostian from VUMC IT. Tiger’s playful spirit and captivating personality make him a beloved companion, bringing warmth and laughter to his family.
Why Tiger Stands Out
Tiger is more than just a cute face; he embodies the quintessential traits that cat lovers adore. His playful antics, curious nature, and affectionate demeanor keep his family entertained and comforted. Whether he’s pouncing on a feather toy or snuggling up for a cozy nap, Tiger has a remarkable way of brightening up the room.
Moreover, Tiger’s backstory is a testament to the bond between pets and their owners. Roger describes Tiger as a “bundle of joy” whose behavior never fails to elicit smiles. The daily adventures they share, from lazy afternoons lounging in the sun to spirited play sessions, illustrate the joy that a pet can bring into one’s life.
Today’s Dog of the Day: Introducing Leo
On the flip side, we have the delightful Leo, a spirited three-year-old miniature schnauzer submitted by Nika Battle from the VUH 5 South Cardiovascular Step Down Unit. Leo’s charm is undeniable, capturing hearts with his playful demeanor and zest for life.
Nika reflects on their journey together, stating, “I adopted him when he was two months old, and we have had many adventures since then.” The bond between Nika and Leo has blossomed through shared experiences, traveling across the country and exploring new beaches, especially Ocean Beach in San Francisco, where Leo loves to frolic in the sand.
Leo’s favorite activities not only highlight his adventurous spirit but also showcase the importance of companionship in our lives. His enthusiastic beach outings and playful nature serve as joyful reminders of the simple pleasures that come from spending quality time with our pets.
The Pets of the Day Program
The Pets of the Day feature is a cherished segment in the MyVUMC News newsletter, highlighting the furry companions of Vanderbilt University Medical Center staff. Published twice a week, this delightful section brings smiles to readers as it showcases a variety of pets submitted by dedicated staff members.
Each pet featured has a story to tell, reflecting the unique bond between them and their owners. The entries come from the annual VUMC Voice Pet Photo Contest, where staff have the chance to submit photos of their beloved pets, vying for the coveted title of “Pet of the Day.” This initiative not only honors the pets but also strengthens community ties within the VUMC family.
